Who will you be working with? Reporting to Quality Manager US.
Where is the position located? This is full time position at our office in Welshpool, WA
What will your typical day look like?
Lead and comply with EHS & Quality requirements in accordance with Wabtec policy and procedures.
Conduct, support and coordinate internal and external audits and prepare audit reports that are clear and concise.
Must be able to confirm the sufficiency and appropriateness of audit evidence to support audit findings and conclusions.
Conduct Problem investigations using Root Cause Analysis (8D methodology) and working collaboratively with the team to identify and implement corrective actions.
Conduct First Article Inspection/Part Approvals and using standard measurement practices.
Address non-conformance reports (NCR's) to drive and facilitate Corrective & Preventative actions.
Creation of Quality defect/punch list and tracking closure of all items. To ensure all products are free from defects, meeting the customer's expectations before it leaves the manufacturing facility.
Interpret customer contracts, specifications, engineering drawings, standards, code of practices.
Proficient in technical document writing (reports, procedures, instructions, work standards, process mapping).
Interface with internal Departments, Customers and Suppliers in order to resolve issues and achieve customer satisfaction.
Implementation and maintenance of management programs and systems.
Data analysis and trend identification and taking relevant improvement action.
Tracking of Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ).
Creation, modification and recording of Inspection & Test Plans (ITP)/ Control Plans.
Training and assessment of new and existing employees and monitoring of training gaps.
Commitment and participation in the Environmental Health and Safety System.
What do we want to know about you?
Three years of experience in a similar role required.
Experience following Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) is desirable
ISO Lead Auditor Qualification highly desirable
ISO 9001- experience required; AS4801 and ISO14001- advantageous.
Rail Industry or Automotive experience highly desirable.
Demonstrable application of LEAN methodologies within a production environment is desirable.
Experience implementing 5S is desirable.
The ability to maintain confidentiality.
High level of attention to detail and the ability to communicate any discrepancies.
Effective organisational, time management, multi-tasking and communication skills.
Strong team attitude and willingness to drive collaboration.
Experience working with a diverse range of stakeholders to drive a common outcome.
Experience in Process Engineering preferable.
High competency level with Microsoft Office.
Current Driver’s license.
