Quality Manager – Metal Manufacturing

Direct Hire | Day Shift | 4x10 Schedule

One of our manufacturing clients in the area is looking for an experienced Quality Manager to oversee quality operations in a metal manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working with customers, production, and engineering on more complex jobs.

Responsibilities:

• Manage day-to-day quality operations and quality processes
• Perform approximately 5–10 inspections per day, with more detailed inspections on complex/tighter-tolerance jobs
• Review drawings, specifications, and customer requirements
• Complete and review FAIRs (First Article Inspection Reports) and PPAPs
• Maintain and support ISO 9001 quality systems
• Work closely with production and engineering to identify and resolve quality issues
• Handle corrective actions, root-cause analysis, and continuous improvement
• Support customer quality requirements and audits
• Ensure inspection equipment and documentation are properly maintained

Requirements:

• Previous Quality Manager/Quality leadership experience in metal manufacturing
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001
• Experience with PPAP and FAIR
• Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T
• Experience performing dimensional inspections and working with inspection equipment
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment
