  • 7:00am-3:30pm shift, Mon-Fri.

Job Summary:

The Quality Manager plans, directs, and coordinates the activities of thequalitydepartment,facilitatingefficient quality control operations across the organization. The Quality Manager leads a team of quality control professionals to meet customer expectations and the corporate revenue plan, providing technical direction and efficient project management to meet deadlines. The Quality Manager is accountable for continuous improvement across the organization's teams and quality control processes to reduce costs, decrease lead times, and improve quality. As a leader in the organization, this position works closely with all departments and employees across all functions.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

  • Build organizational talent by mentoringqualitydepartment staff to achieve their professional development goals and execute applicable cross-training plans.

  • Maintainhigh levelsof employee engagement.

Duties/Responsibilities:

  • Manage a team of Inspectors and Technicians focusing on detail, quality, and ISO requirements.

  • Lead and develop a cooperative and productive working environment that provides a climate in which others are informed and want to drive organizational changes and priorities.

  • Accountable for fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization's teams and quality processes to increase efficiencies, reduce costs, and improve quality.

  • Provide leadership, training, and education to the team to ensure they understand and follow industry standardspertainingtodocumentation, policies, and expectations.

  • Demonstrate cross-functional leadership skills by building strong relationships among all organizational departments by providing excellent communication, showing empathy towards others, and fostering teamwork and collaboration.

  • Responsible for implementing streamlined quality processes and standards resulting indemonstratedimprovements in increased efficiencies, cost reduction, quality improvements, and increased profitability.

  • Maintain knowledge of new and developing inspection and quality products, technology, equipment, and applications; apply this knowledge to recommend and implementnew technologyand processes.

  • Provides budget input and implements the departmental budget.

  • Additionalduties might be assigned.

Skillsand Qualifications:

  • AS9100Dknowledge and experience handling periodic auditsrequired.

  • NADCAPknowledge and experience handling periodic auditspreferred.

  • Strong interpersonal,oral,and written communication skills.

  • Ability to develop andmaintaina positive collaborative relationship with peers and colleagues.

  • Excellent multi-tasking skills and the ability to manage multiple small projects simultaneously.

  • Extensive knowledge of the Quality function and manufacturing methods and procedures.

  • Demonstrated leadership skills to coach and mentor individuals to reachhigh levelsof employee performance and engagement.

  • Cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to lead the team to tackle problems across the enterprise.

  • Good timemanagement skills,and the ability to meet deadlines.

  • Attention to detail and thorough in completing work tasks.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software; Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.

Education and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associate Degree or Bachelor’sDegree in a technical discipline preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • 5+ years of quality experience in an Aerospace Manufacturing environment.

  • 1-3 years of leadership and management operations experience.

  • 3-5years of leadingAS9100D audits isrequired.

  • Achieve deadlines (production, reporting).

  • Produces consistentlyaccuratework;virtually freeof errors or omissions.
