JOB SUMMARY
Manages, plans, coordinates, and directs quality control programs designed to ensure continuous production/service consistent with established standards and customer requirements.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS and /DUTIES
- Works closely with peers to successfully implement and deploy customer and internal quality objectives effectively and efficiently.
- Manages the development and analysis of statistical data and specifications to determine present standards and establish proposed quality and reliability expectancy.
- Coordinates quality control objectives with production procedures in cooperation with other managers to maximize quality, reliability, and minimize costs.
- Manages, through intermediate personnel, workers engaged in activities to ensure continuous control over materials, facilities, services, and products.
- Plans, promotes, and organizes training activities related to quality systems and continuous improvement.
- Heavy Interaction with customers regarding quality and design issues to reach successful resolutions.
- Drives continuous improvement and corrective action initiatives to meet internal and customer expectations with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Responsible for ensuring compliance to ISO quality systems for multiple sites.
- Responsible for APQP

QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university or an equivalent combination of formal education, on-the-job training, and/or work experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a leadership role.
- Experience working with manufacturing MRP/ERP systems.
- Advanced PC application skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, etc.).
- SPC software experience (JMP, Minitab, etc.).
- Strong problem solving and communication (verbal & writing) skills; ability to interface effectively with personnel at all levels, including external customers.
- Detail oriented, self-motivated, and organized.
- Hands-on experience with ISO/IATF quality systems.
- Six Sigma training highly preferred.
- Lean Process understanding preferred.
- Strong working knowledge of APQP.
