Description
Responsibilities:
• Provide quality support for product realization processes.
• Prepare quality documentation and required testing/analysis for products.
• Assist in defining special characteristics of products.
• Perform dimensional studies and annual dimensional verifications.
• Assist in determining quality objectives and related training as required.
• Assist in developing and implementing corrective and preventive actions as related to
Quality concerns.
• Serve as back up to Quality Manager in accessing Customer Scorecards and Customer Portals.
• Work in customer portals as required for new product launches, quality-related issues, and corrective action reporting.
• Lead problem-solving efforts for customer complaint resolution.
• Serve as point of contact with customer regarding new product launches and quality-related issues.
• Maintain Quality department’s-controlled documents.
• Assist with monitoring and maintenance of production mistake and error-proof processes and parts.
• Work with supply base regarding quality related issues by reporting non-conformances and tracking corrective actions.
• Serve as Quality Management System Auditor.
• Develop work instructions for processes and testing.
• Coordinate Engineering Changes with other Departments.
Requirements
• Prefer a bachelor’s degree in engineering field. A minimum five (5) year experience in a Quality Engineer role may
substitute for a bachelor’s degree. Other technical degrees may be considered.
• Prefer a minimum of five (5) year experience in Quality- related role within an automotive manufacturing environment.
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, with considerable working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, and ability to learn
various software programs).
• Experience with various tools and techniques used for continuous improvement of manufacturing processes and products.
