***Summary
The Quality Manager is responsible for all Quality Assurance functions throughout the manufacturing process and post-manufacturing support. The Quality Manager serves as a cross functional team leader, working closely with internal and external customers to ensure products and processes meet predetermined specifications.
***Principal Duties and Responsibilities

Establish procedures for maintaining high standards of quality, reliability, and safety.
Manage, improve, and maintain the Quality Management System for continued effectiveness and AS9100D compliance.
Manage a team of quality engineers and inspectors.
Manage the flow of work through the QC department, including inspection
Determine and implement quality requirements in accordance with real company needs, based on current specifications, regulations, and product requirements.
Organize, promote, and manage companywide quality improvement efforts.
Evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of quality, reliability, and safety.
Act as liaison with external parties (customers, vendors, certification bodies, etc.) on matters relating to the quality system.
Within manufacturing facility, oversee APQP activity at the plant level regarding the development and documentation of Process Flow, PFMEA and the Control Plans.
Prepare and submit PPAPs and FAIs.
Manage the preparation, implementation, and maintenance of Quality Control work instructions.
Manage RMA and internal MRB processes.
Lead investigations and corrective actions related to quality issues/concerns.
Manage, and at times administer, quality and QMS training for all departments.
In manufacturing facility, manage and lead quality improvement by establishing methods of data collection, control, dimensional inspection, documentation, etc.
Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.

***Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty mentioned satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
Bachelor’s degree, plus 5 years related experience – 10 years industry specific experience including supervisory/management responsibilities.
Ability to analyze drawings and SPC/Cpk data
Ability to distill requirements and their practical applications – form, fit, function
Ability to analyze processes in casting, machining, and assembly to establish root cause and corrective action

GD&T
Mechanical inspection
CMM fixturing and output analysis
Understanding of AS9100, NADCAP, and Mil Specs.
