Description

  •  Responsible for establishing, maintaining and improving the policies and procedures associated with the Quality Engineer, Quality Assurance Technician and Quality Inspector functions and ensure that all policies & procedures comply with the requirements of our Quality Management System 
  • Responsible for managing quality management systems (QMS) processes.
  • Responsible for providing quality support to the Integrated Development Process (IDP, aka APQP} to assist with assuring effective onboarding of new products or re-qualification of existing products, including cost estimates during the quoting process for performing product validation and functional testing activities to meet customer specifications 
  • Validates quality processes by establishing product specifications and quality attributes; measuring production; documenting evidence; determining operational and performance qualification; writing and updating quality assurance procedures.
  • Audits proper understanding and implementation of controls plans in accordance with both customer and internal requirements.
  •  Ensures DMR/MRB processes are efficient and effective, being executed in a timely manner and results are being communicated to the appropriate stakeholders.
  • Ensure the Quality Team responds to CMF’s in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Responsible for applying quality tools and techniques to our processes in order to improve process reliability and efficiency and reduce the cost of poor quality.
  • Will also perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by upper management. 

  

Requirements

  • BS. in applied science or engineering field, or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a manufacturing environment in a quality related role. 
  • Must have hands on experience in a quality assurance role and experience with Quality Management Systems, Quality Standards such as ISO 9001, and quality assurance tools and techniques such as DFMEA, PFMEA, PPAP, Six Sigma and 8D. Experience with automotive and medical is highly desired.
  • Must have a firm understanding of personal computers and knowledge of Microsoft Office, SPC software, and business systems.
  • Injection molding experience is desirable
