  • Conduct hazard analysis and manage Critical Control Points (CCPs).
  • Oversee monitoring, verification, and preventive controls.
  • Ensure all inbound and outbound products meet food safety standards.

Audits & Documentation

  • Manage third-party and regulatory food safety audits.
  • Maintain SOPs, manuals, policies, and procedural documentation.
  • Prepare trend analyses, stability data, recall readiness, and compliance reports.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with Operations and Plant Leadership on quality and sanitation performance.
  • Support supplier qualification and food safety training.
  • Contribute to new product launches, engineering improvements, and training programs.

Team Leadership

  • Hire, coach, and develop Quality and Food Safety staff.
  • Assign work, manage performance, and drive accountability.
  • Foster a culture of safety, ownership, and continuous learning.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in Quality Assurance and Food Safety within manufacturing (food, beverage, packaging, or related industries preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of GMP, HACCP, CCPs, and regulatory compliance.
  • Experience managing audits (FDA, USDA, SQF, BRC, or equivalent).
  • Strong documentation, validation, and process-improvement expertise.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-development capability.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into action.

Work Environment & Physical Requirements

  • Combination of office and manufacturing floor exposure.
  • Regular standing, walking, and equipment interaction.
  • PPE required on production floor (safety glasses, hearing protection, hair/beard nets).
  • Exposure to moderate-to-high noise environments.

What Success Looks Like

  • Audit-ready facility with best-in-class compliance metrics.
  • Reduced customer complaints and non-conformances.
  • Strengthened food safety culture across the plant.
  • Documented, validated, and continuously improving quality systems.
