Job Overview:

**POSITION SUMMARY:

**

The Quality Manager is responsible for overseeing quality assurance and control processes to ensure that products and services meet established standards and regulatory requirements. They will implement and execute inspection, testing, and evaluation methods to ensure that products adhere to ISO 9001 and AS9100 standards. The Quality Manager will maintain documentation.

**RESPONSIBILITIES:

**

  • Maintain and improve the AS9100 and ISO 9001 compliant Quality Management.

  • Serve as Management for the QMS.

  • Oversee document control, risk management, and quality records integrity.

  • Based on current regulations, understands and administers our quality system program in accordance with company and customer requirements.

  • Develops and implements continuous improvement programs to improve overall operations productivity.

  • Approve standards and establish clearly defined quality methods for the team to apply.

  • Supports the management team and participates in activities that would lead to better business results.

  • Develops and maintains good working relationships with all customers and vendors.

  • Develops and maintains a high level of communication and collaboration with all functional groups.

**DUTIES

**

  • Leads efforts to evaluate and develop techniques for the control of quality; improves efficiencies, and reliability.

  • Designs and implements training programs for staff to ensure they understand quality standards and procedures

  • Ensure that the documentation control process is implemented and followed.

  • Keep abreast of current quality system requirements.

  • Report to Executive Management on quality systems operation.

  • Generate yearly and monthly plans and report on them as required.

  • Participate in final acceptance testing and release for shipments of all products.

  • Direct development of inspection plans in conjunction with management.

  • Monitor the validation process for all manufacturing processes, including software.

  • Participate in the Material Review Board and Corrective Action Board process.

  • Maintain copies of all pertinent regulations and standards.

  • Other duties as assigned.

**EXPERIENCE:

**

  • 10+ years in a manufacturing environment.

  • Minimum of 3 years in Quality Administration or Engineering Administration.

  • Knowledge and understanding of Quality Systems and their application.

  • Microsoft Office skills (Excel, Word, etc.).

**EDUCATION:

**

• Bachelor of Science or equivalent career experience.

  • **Certifications in AS 9100 Quality Standards are a plus.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

**

  • Walking, sitting, and performing repetitive tasks for extended periods
