Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team in Greensboro, NC. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Responsibilities

  • Manage QA department activities to ensure that resources are effectively utlized and customer goals and deadlines are routinely net.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to resolve quality issues.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements and enhance product reliability.
  • Train and mentor staff on quality standards and best practices.
  • Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key metrics and improvement areas.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
  • Administer the company Layered Process Audit (LPA) program to drive improvement in product and process quality and overall customer satisfaction.
  • Conduct statistical capability studies on parts / processes and utlize the data to map process / equipment improvement recommendations.
  • Identify and implement quality gates to prevent defects from being passed to the next process.
  • Investigate root cause and implement permanent corrective actions for all custome complaints. Respond to customer corrective action requests in a timely fashion and in the format required. ( 5- Why, 8 - D, etc.)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in quality management or a similar role.
  • Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or Six Sigma.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • 3 or more years'experience supervising/managing people.
  • Experience in the metal or steel industry preferred.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

You should be proficient in:

  • Continuous Improvement
  • Measurement System Analysis (MSA)
  • AS9100 Experience
