Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Manager to join our team in Greensboro, NC. Responsibilities
- Manage QA department activities to ensure that resources are effectively utlized and customer goals and deadlines are routinely net.
- Develop, implement, and maintain quality management systems and procedures.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead root cause analysis and corrective action initiatives to resolve quality issues.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive quality improvements and enhance product reliability.
- Train and mentor staff on quality standards and best practices.
- Prepare and present quality reports to management, highlighting key metrics and improvement areas.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure ongoing compliance.
- Administer the company Layered Process Audit (LPA) program to drive improvement in product and process quality and overall customer satisfaction.
- Conduct statistical capability studies on parts / processes and utlize the data to map process / equipment improvement recommendations.
- Identify and implement quality gates to prevent defects from being passed to the next process.
- Investigate root cause and implement permanent corrective actions for all custome complaints. Respond to customer corrective action requests in a timely fashion and in the format required. ( 5- Why, 8 - D, etc.)
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Quality Assurance, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in quality management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of quality standards such as ISO 9001 or Six Sigma.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- 3 or more years'experience supervising/managing people.
- Experience in the metal or steel industry preferred.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in quality management software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
You should be proficient in:
