About the Role

We are supporting a confidential Quality Manager search for an automotive manufacturing facility in Fremont, Ohio.

This is a plant level leadership role responsible for quality engineering, advanced quality planning, PPAP, statistical process control, customer and supplier quality, internal auditing, quality laboratory activities, document control, and automotive quality system compliance.

The right candidate will bring manufacturing quality leadership experience, know how to develop a team, understand customer expectations, and be comfortable balancing quality requirements, plant floor problem solving, compliance, cost improvement, and production demands.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the plant quality function and quality team.

• Direct quality engineering, PPAP, advanced quality planning, SPC, and quality laboratory activities.

• Support IATF 16949 compliance and internal quality audits.

• Investigate and resolve customer and supplier concerns.

• Manage customer and supplier quality communication.

• Maintain quality systems, records, controlled documentation, and reporting.

• Lead employee training, mentoring, and team development.

• Identify quality improvements, waste reduction, and cost saving opportunities.

• Support lean manufacturing and continuous improvement activities.

• Manage quality department planning and budget responsibilities.

Qualifications

• College diploma or university degree in engineering, science, quality, or a related technical field.

• 5 to 8 years of progressively responsible manufacturing quality experience.

• 2 to 3 years of supervisory or management experience.

• Experience with PPAP, SPC, customer quality, supplier quality, and automotive quality systems.
