Our client, a well-established construction contractor with a strong portfolio of government facility projects, is seeking an experienced Quality Manager to support ongoing work on a secure federal project in Northern Illinois.
This role will be responsible for managing quality control processes on-site, ensuring all work meets contract specifications, federal standards, and project requirements. The successful candidate will work closely with the project team, subcontractors, and government representatives to maintain high construction quality throughout the project.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and manage the project Quality Control Plan
- Conduct inspections across all phases of construction
- Ensure work complies with contract specifications and federal standards
- Coordinate with project managers, superintendents, and subcontractors
- Maintain quality control documentation and inspection reports
- Identify and resolve quality issues in a timely manner
- Review submittals and materials to ensure compliance with project requirements
- Support project closeout and final documentation
Requirements:
- 5+ yearsβ experience in construction quality control or quality management
- Experience on federal, government, or institutional projects preferred
- Strong knowledge of construction inspections and documentation
- Ability to coordinate with multiple subcontractors and trades
- OSHA 30 preferred
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
