Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Quality Inspector / Mechanical Inspector to join our manufacturing team in Woburn, MA. This role is responsible for performing detailed mechanical inspections of precision components, completing inspection documentation, and supporting quality assurance processes to ensure products meet company and customer specifications.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment and be proficient in reading mechanical drawings and using precision measuring instruments.

Responsibilities

• Perform inspections using:
• Micrometers
• Vernier calipers
• Optical comparators
• Other precision measuring equipment
• Conduct first article inspections (FAI)
• Complete and maintain inspection paperwork and quality records accurately
• Review non-conformance reports (NCRs)
• Coordinate corrective and preventive actions as needed
• Verify parts and materials meet engineering drawings and specifications
• Identify and report quality issues or discrepancies
• Maintain a clean and organized inspection area

Qualifications

• Previous quality inspection experience in a manufacturing or machine shop environment required
• Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and blueprints
• Proficient in the use of:
• Micrometers
• Vernier calipers
• Optical comparators
• Precision inspection equipment
• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills

Monday – Friday

7:00 AM – 3:30 PM

Pay:

Up to $32.00/hour based on experience
