Description of Job Duties
- Write CMM programs for new program launches based on customer specifications provided by engineering department.
- Work with Engineering and Set-up department to verify that parts meet customer specifications on new program launches.
- Perform CMM or technical layout inspection on all parts as required.
- Maintain Q Number Log for all complete part inspections.
- Ensure first piece approval (FPA) parts are completed in a timely manner.
- Organize the Lab and insist Lab housekeeping is maintained.
- File all Quality documents in assigned area. Files need to be organized and labeled.
- Perform LPAs and assist with final audits, gage R&R studies, and gage calibration.
- Setup gauging as required.
- Participate in quality problem solving, corrective actions, and provide support to other departments.
- Communicate internal quality information between shifts.
- Communicate line-up from QA supervisor to nightshift personnel.
- Oversee completion of all assigned afternoon shift tasks.
- Report shift activities to QA supervisor.
- Follow Housekeeping, Safety (lockout/tagout), and Environmental requirements (recycling, labeling, spills, and programs).
- Continuous improvement ideas in safety, productivity, quality, and housekeeping.
- Comply and participate in housekeeping, safety, and environmental policies.
- Other duties as defined by your Supervisor.

- Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing, SPC
- Quality Systems and Procedures
- Blueprint reading
- CMM, M&M, Comparator, and Contracer Capabilities
- Lab Measurement Equipment and shop floor gages
- Leadership and good communication skills
