Job Title: Laboratory Engineer

Job Summary：
 1. Product certification and mark record
 2. Test plan’s development, execution and report
 3. Test working instruction’s development and implementation
 4. Equipment maintenance management and environment safety control  

Job Function:

Test technical:
 
 1.1.Responsible for implementation testing uncertainty assessment programs;
 
 1.2 Participating in quality accident investigation and analysis, providing technical proposals, ensuring compliance of testing quality with existing effective standard requirements;
 
 1.3 Responsible for implementation proficiency testing and internal test comparation;
 
 1.4 Taking care of test instruments and equipment, responsible for routine maintenance and inspection;    

Sample management
 
 2.1 Responsible for each testing sample management;
 
 2.2Responsible for sample visual inspection, quantity inventory and successful verification, sample reception, registration, coding and marking;
 
 2.3 Responsible for sample distribution, circulation and recovery, checking whether the sample is intact in distribution and recovery, completing registration in sample recovery;
 
 2.4 Samples shall be kept by categories, testing types and code numbers, and clearly marked, indistinctive and accessible;
 
 2.5 Preventing the sample room from fire, explosion, theft or other insecurities;
 
 2.6 Responsible for sample room environment control and maintenance, minimizing change in nature in storage;
 
 2.7 Responsible for processing and registration of due samples;
     

Product certification and mark record:
 
 1.1 Responsible to collect certification information, certificate based on the certification process and achieve certification;
 
 1.2 Responsible to arrange, file, and update the certification and test report
 
 1.3 Responsible to collect the check list after certification and inform related staffs;
 
 1.4 Responsible for product annual audit and related issue;
 
 1.5 Responsible for 3C printing symbol’s filing and annual audit .  

 Test plan’s development, execution and report:
 
 2.1 Responsible to develop, execute product’s annual and daily test plan and make report
 
 2.2 Responsible for new product and changed product’s inspection & testing and make report
 
 2.3 Responsible for outsourcing test’s operation and control
 
 2.4 Responsible to inspect the supplier’s new material & accessory certification
 
 2.5 Responsible to take measures and follow up on the related issue during the process   

Test working instruction’s development and implementation:
 
 3.1 Responsible to make and update related test method as well as working instruction for equipment operation, and operate based on the working
 instruction
 
 3.2 Responsible to train workshop inspector about testing standard and inspection method   

Equipment maintenance management and environment safety control:
 
 4.1 Responsible for the inspection equipment’s daily maintenance
 
 4.2 Responsible for laboratory’s 5s management, temperature and humidity’s control and record
 
 4.3 Responsible for hazardous material’s usage management and record   

Reports to prepare and submit: Daily, weekly and monthly report, type test report, customer report and accessories report.

Qualifications:

• Languages spoken commonly in the workplace are English and Mandarin. - Ability to read, understand and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Ability to speak effectively and interact with other team members, engineers, leadership and customers.    
• Working experience on the company's production site, be familiar with the related processes of glass manufacturing   
• Relevant college degree or above (the science and technology major is preferred)   
• The employee is regularly required to stand for long periods. Duties include turning at the waist, reaching, bending, squatting and lifting up to 50 pounds. Ability to pass static strength requirements (grip) 
• Clarity of vision at 20 inches or less. Use this factor when special and minute accuracy is demanded
•  Clarity of vision at 20 feet or more. Use this factor when visual efficiency in terms of far acuity is required in day and night/dark conditions.
• Three-dimensional vision. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where and as they actually are
• Ability to identify and distinguish colors
•  Observing an area that can be seen up and down or to right or left while eyes are fixed on a given point
• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Safety requirements for this position are safety glasses, hearing protection and steel-toed work boots
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
• Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables
• Knowledge of and familiarity manufacturing software
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office software Word, Excel, Power Point
• Be proficient in reading English materials  
• Glass production process, product quality and characteristics
• The company's quality policy, target and commitment, be familiar with the requirements of various quality management systems (TS, ISO
• Related and internal control standards on automotive safety glass such as GB9656 (national), ECE, ANSI and KS (international) etc.

• Principle of main detection equipment

• 5S knowledge
• Requirements by laws and regulations.   
•  Product safety and regulative certification and verification
• Skillful operation of test equipment and preparing of work instructions
• Analyzing and solving the problems with the methods of QC7
• Ability to report
• Managing and improving the position's and individual's level with 5S knowledge
• Ability to analyze the problems with SPC and make improvements
• Ability to plan, organize, coordinate, analyze and judge
• Gritty will to accomplish objectives and highly sense of responsibility
• Have the sense of mission to constantly improve objectives and requirements          
•  Training certificate of national standards on automotive safety glass  
• Related training on glass production process and quality specialty
• Training on product detection, ability to distinguish qualified and unqualified products 
• Training on test equipment operation
• Studying of national/international/industrial standards on glass products, and training on related detection technology
• Training on ISO/TS16949 quality system knowledge
• Training on SPC, QC7 , 5S etc
