As a Quality Assurance Technician, you’ll play a vital role in upholding our food safety and quality programs. You’ll be responsible for performing testing and analysis to ensure our products meet internal standards, customer expectations, and regulatory requirements. Your work will directly support our mission to deliver superior quality and service while sustaining our strong industry reputation.
Follow all company food safety and personal safety protocols including GMPs, OSHA, HACCP, FDA FSMA, and GFSI standards
Conduct routine and non-routine product testing for internal and external stakeholders
Communicate any quality, safety, or security concerns promptly to the QA Manager and team
Calibrate and troubleshoot laboratory equipment; maintain accurate calibration logs
Keep lab and workstations clean and audit-ready; participate in assigned sanitation duties
Coordinate and support R&D testing projects as needed
Serve as backup to the Quality Assurance Manager or Lead QA Technician when necessary
Perform other duties as assigned
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, or a related field preferred
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently
Familiarity with material flow and production processes
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to learn lab-related software
Effective communication skills and a team-oriented mindset
Must be able to pass a Respirator Fit Test and perform essential duties while wearing a respirator
Background in food manufacturing or quality assurance
Experience operating lab or analytical instruments
Understanding of safety, sanitation, and audit requirements in food production
Ability to read, understand, and complete documents such as instructions, procedures, and checklists
Basic math skills including the ability to work with fractions and decimals
Comfortable communicating in team settings and presenting test results when needed
Must be able to stand, walk, climb, kneel, and reach regularly
Occasionally lift/move up to 50 lbs
Must have good vision (close, distance, peripheral, depth perception)
Fast-paced manufacturing environment
Exposure to dust, heat, humidity, cold, airborne particles, and common wheat allergens
Work may require being at heights and using hearing protection
