Summary
Under the direction of the Quality Manager, the Quality Intern is responsible for performing inspections on manufactured products during all stages of production and completes final inspections before shipment. The Quality Intern may also inspect incoming materials for accuracy and defects. This position will ensure that products meet engineering standards and customer quality expectations.

Education and/or Experience
General Skills
Language Skills
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers, vendors and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
Reasoning Ability
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instruction furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Requires the use of hearing and eye protection when in the plant. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects, tools, or controls. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus.

The position works in both office and production environments. PPE is required when working in the production areas.
