We have several opening across several clients seeking Quality Inspectors!
Conduct thorough inspections of incoming materials, in-process products, and finished goods.
Utilize measuring instruments and testing equipment to assess product quality.
Document inspection results and maintain accurate records in compliance with company policies.
Identify defects and non-conformities, and communicate findings to the production team.
Collaborate with team members to develop and implement corrective actions.
Participate in quality audits and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Stay updated on industry standards and best practices related to quality control.
Will perform final inspection of the part(s) top level drawing of modest complexity and scope. Standard assembly procedures and processes are involved, requiring primarily manual dexterity.
Performs Final Presentation
Working Knowledge of First Article Inspection requirements AS9102
Requires proficiency in the use of precision measuring instruments such as micrometers, and comparators.
Must be able to work from specifications, travelers, blueprints and written or verbal instructions.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned
Responsible for completing all final inspection steps, including review of travelers, documentation including C of C, raw material certs, AS9102, process certs, ATP etc.) visual inspection of the products, verification that all specified requirements have been met prior to shipping.
Knowledge of all related Work Instruction (WI), Quality System Procedures (QSP), Forms, AS9100 and Quality Management System (QMS) Receiving Inspection and Machine shop inspection as required
AS13001 Delegated Product Release Verification certification may be required
Customer specific Source Delegate/Self-Release training is required
Proficiency in Customer-related Portal activities is required (e.g., eCofC, Over Inspection, Purchase Orders, Job Release documents, etc.)
Ability to operate a Keyence machine is required
Process scrap parts include generating Scrap certifications, inspecting, and sending Warranty Replacement parts as part of the RMA process.
Receiving Inspection and Machine shop inspection as required
High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical training or certification in quality control is a plus.
Minimum of two years’ mechanical/electrical inspection experience in the aerospace or related industry. General knowledge is equivalent to high school education.
Works under minimal supervision.
Knows how to use basic inspection tools, must have computer knowledge, able to read and understand blueprints, government specifications
Must have a good working knowledge of Geometric Dimensional Tolerancing (GDT) and be proficient in reading blueprints.
Assignments may include specific assembly processes requiring training, i.e. use of test equipment, welding, and soldering.
AS13001 certified is preferred
Must have a basic understanding of ASME Y14.5.
Proven experience in quality inspection or a related field.
Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
Ability to read and interpret technical documents, blueprints, and specifications.
Familiarity with quality control methodologies and tools (e.g., Six Sigma, ISO standards).
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
