Description/Qualifications

Responsibility for the following areas: 

Visual and dimensional inspection of incoming product. 

In-process, first piece, last piece, final, and first article inspections. 

Internal and external auditing to the ISO 9001 standard. 

Accurately record and analyze Non-Conforming Product. 

Setup and maintain inspection documents, work instructions and standard operating procedures. This includes documents of internal and external origin. 

Identify improvement opportunities. 

Participate in Six Sigma projects. 

Manage time effectively, meet personal goals and work effectively with other members of the quality team. 

Maintain proficiency in using personal computer, data entry terminal and other common office equipment and software 

Follow company policies and procedures 

Present a professional image at all times to customers and vendors 

Perform additional tasks as needed/requested. 

Organizational Relationships: 

Quality Control Technicians report to the Production Manager. 

Quality Control Technicians need to interact with each department to ensure the quality of MUM industries products and to satisfy customer requirements both internal and external. 

Qualifications:

High School diploma or equivalent 

3-5 years of experience in a related quality field in sheet metal fabrication or similar. 

Must have previous experience in welding inspections.

Advanced computer skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office programs; in particular an advanced knowledge of Excel charts and data analysis, and the ability to learn, understand and use MUM specific systems (i.e., Global Shop) 

Auditing, both internal and external, to the current ISO 9001 QMS.
