Quality inspector
· Provide audit results in a timely manner which supports periodic audits, finish goods audit, checking parts using basic measurement tools, and functional testing across various departments (Extrusion, Handles, Molding, etc.).
· Under the guidance of Quality management team reject suspect or non-conforming components
· Perform basic measurement using micrometers, calipers, pin gages, Go – No gages and mating parts based on quality procedures.
· Ability to make decisions based on quality criteria.
· Ability to evaluate discrepant product.
· Write documentation and reports to describe program audit and results
· Ability to use Microsoft office (Excel)
· Adheres to approved Company, Safety and Department policies and procedures.
· Performs other duties as assigned or are not included here but are within the context of duties defined.
REQUIREMENTS:
· A minimum of (1) year proven quality audits in a manufacturing environment preferred.
· Ability to use basic measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, pin gages, etc.) to complete audits, read and interprets blue prints and specifications
· Quality molding knowledge (basic concepts: short shot, splay, flash, etc)
· Effective oral and written communications skills
· Availability to work on different shifts and overtime as needed
· Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationship with internal employees (proactive, good attitude, good communication)
· Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred
· Safety conscious
· Computer skills
