QUALITY INSPECTOR SUPERVISOR

A growing manufacturing company in Itasca, IL is looking for a Quality Inspector Supervisor to lead the inspection team and help ensure products meet customer and internal quality requirements.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone with a strong background in manufacturing quality inspection who can lead a team, troubleshoot quality issues, and work closely with production and engineering.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Supervise and coordinate daily activities of the quality inspection team
Perform and oversee dimensional and visual inspections of manufactured parts
Review inspection results and ensure products meet specifications and customer requirements
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and GD&T
Use precision measurement equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools
Investigate non-conforming material and work with production and engineering on corrective actions
Maintain quality records, inspection documentation, and reports
Help identify recurring quality issues and implement process improvements
Train and develop inspectors on inspection procedures, equipment, and quality standards
Work closely with production, engineering, and management to resolve quality issues
QUALIFICATIONS
3+ years of manufacturing quality inspection experience
Previous lead or supervisory experience preferred
Strong blueprint reading and GD&T knowledge
Experience with precision measuring equipment
Ability to identify and troubleshoot dimensional and quality issues
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment
Ability to communicate effectively with production, engineering, and management
