Responsibilities:
- Inspect parts using a variety of metrology equipment. CMM, FARO a Plus.
- Possess a basic understanding of industry quality control standards
- Interprets engineering drawings and specifications
- Recording inspection results by completing reports, summarizing re-works and wastes, and inputting data into a quality database.
- Perform inspections and tests as required by and as directed by the manager..
- Prepare inspection/test reports and maintain the QA/QC files related to assignment.
- Assist with issuing and logging of Non-Conformance Reports
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and finished parts, production assemblies, and sub-assemblies for conformance to drawings and standards.
- Follows verbal and/or written instructions such as blueprints, traveler, work instructions, process specifications, sketches, and direction of manager in completing a variety of inspection tasks.
Qualifications:
- At least five years previous
- Understanding of the ISO 9001 QMS system and ensures products and processes comply with internal, industry, and customer quality standards.
- Ability to read and interpret machining and fabrication drawings, including a good understanding of Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerances as outlined by ANSI Y14.5.
- Basic Knowledge of ISO Quality Programs and ASME Code
- Must have QC experience with metal fabrication
- Experience with basic types of hand precision measuring equipment (Mics, Verniers etc.)
- Familiar with the use of go, and no-go gauges and fixtures.
- A basic understanding of NDT processes is a plus
- G D&T required.
Hours are:
Monday through Thursday – 6:30am to 4pm
Friday 6:30am to 10:30am
The pay is up to $30.00 an hour based on experience
