Welch Fluorocarbon, Inc. is currently looking to fill the role of Quality Inspector to join our Quality Team. Essential Tasks:

  • Perform Incoming Inspection for raw materials.
  • Perform final release inspection for shipments.
  • Enter customer-required electronic data for customer shipments (ex. inspection data).
  • Enter Incoming Inspection data into ERP system or manually document per procedure.
  • Prepare raw material for additional testing.
  • Communicate status with Welch Receiver and Manufacturing leadership as needed.
  • Maintain Incoming Inspection Policies and Procedures.
  • Maintain Incoming Inspection equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain an active inventory of consumable incoming inspection supplies.
  • Maintain the Incoming Inspection area.
  • Identify and recommend new equipment and supplies.
  • Provide reports on incoming inspection activity as requested.
  • Perform product testing per customer requirements when necessary.
  • Participate in team corrective action and problem-solving sessions as necessary to support customer quality requirements.
  • Provide information/input to Quality Engineer for Incoming Inspection issues for supplier corrective actions.
  • Provide training support/instruction for team members as requested by Quality Team Leader.
  • Perform Quality Technician essential tasks as back up as needed.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the Quality Team Leader.
  • Other duties not expressly listed above or that may be required in the future.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a High school diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 to 3 years experience working in a manufacturing quality role
  • Understanding of advanced mathematical concepts.
  • Working knowledge of Windows computer user interface, popular business applications (ERP Software, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet Browsers, Email, etc.). 
  • Able to prioritize tasks in an efficient manner in order to meet deadlines.
  • Experience drafting reports and collating data.
  • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret technical information.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with team members and customers.
  • Ability to perform dimensional inspection using all current measuring instruments at Welch Fluorocarbon.

Physical Requirements

  • Must have the visually acuity to inspect parts and distinguish between conforming and nonconforming parts
  • Must be able to sit and/or stand for several hours at a time.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.

  • Must be able to pass a Background Check.
