Collins Aerospace is seeking to Hire a Quality Inspector III for the Sana Fe Springs, CA Location facility. You will perform visual and dimensional inspection of parts, subassemblies, and major assemblies in meeting blueprint and specification requirements. Inspections consist of using standard measuring instruments as well as special measuring instruments and gages. Completes inspection records and rejection reports.

What You Will do:

  • This position is working onsite at our Sana Fe Springs, CA facility.
  • Ability to work weekends, weekday overtime and holidays as required
  • Use proper inspection methods & complex equipment (i.e., complex part set-ups and inspections, CMM operation & programming preferred)
  • Performs inspection of receiving, in-process, and finished components utilizing various types of measuring and test equipment
  • Verify SPC data when applicable for final acceptance of parts.
  • Interfaces with other employees regarding quality issues
  • Inspection of Products/Material and Inspection Records through MES System and generates required documentation on discrepant disks.
  • Inspection of returned goods from customers. Define the discrepancy and report as required; if applicable
  • Preparation of certificate of conformance as required by customer; if applicable (DSQR, FAA/ODA).
  • Recommend and/or assist in development and implementation of inspection instruction.
  • Ensure nonconforming material is segregated and is properly documented and controlled.
  • Read, interpret, and comply with policies, applicable regulatory, safety and company rules and requirements, operating instructions, procedures.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • HS diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant manufacturing and/or Inspection experience. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 4 years of relevant manufacturing and/or Inspection experience is required.
  • U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee status) as defined here:

  • 2 or more years of Experience performing manufacturing or product inspections using blueprints and specifications.
  • 2 or more years of Experience performing measurements with Precision measurement tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
  • 2 or more years of basic computer software knowledge (word and excel).

Qualifications we Prefer:

  • Basic to intermediate math competency (Geometry, Basic Trigonometry)
  • Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) knowledge
  • Strong computer skills, including proficiency in (MS Office, Excel)

The salary range for this role is $27.67hr to $37.43hr ; however, Raytheon Technologies considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, education/training, and key skills.
