About the Role:

As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all dietary supplement products comply with MeriCal’s specifications and cGMPs. You’ll conduct both objective and subjective measurements, perform inspections across various production stages, and manage quality documentation. Your role will be essential in maintaining high-quality output and addressing any discrepancies.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensure adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices [21 CFR Part 111, 117 & 211].
  • Perform inspections at multiple production stages and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Conduct sampling (Analytical, Microbial, Customer, and Retains) and ensure appropriate testing methods are used.
  • Document test results, defective products, and corrective actions.
  • Communicate quality concerns to supervisors and provide guidance on corrective actions.
  • Verify Bill of Materials, ID tagging, and organization of raw materials and finished goods.
  • Enter quality data and verify expiration dates in ERP systems before release.
  • Conduct bulk and final product AQL inspections and review cleaning logs for line release.
  • Ensure proper hold procedures and alert management of any quality issues or unusual occurrences.

About You:

You are detail-oriented and thrive in a quality-focused environment, with a knack for maintaining high standards, especially in dietary supplements or food & beverage manufacturing. Your strong computer skills, particularly with Microsoft Word and Excel, allow you to manage tasks efficiently, even in fast-paced settings. You’re an effective problem-solver, with excellent communication skills that help you work well with others. Your knowledge of quality control standards and sampling techniques sets you apart, and you’re always ready to adapt and contribute to the success of the team.


Work Experience Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a quality-related environment, or a bachelor’s degree in biology, chemistry, or a related field with 0-2 years of experience.
  • Ability to lift up to 25-30 lbs as needed.
  • Food Safety or Dietary Supplement experience is a plus.


Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
