Job Overview:

Position Title: Quality Inspector II

Pay Range: $27.81-$29.87 per hour with a $2.00 shift differential 

*** This position is 2nd Shift, 3pm-1am, Monday through Thursday***

 

What You’ll Do

The Quality Technician II is responsible for performing advanced quality inspections, tests, and analysis of materials, components, and finished products to ensure compliance with company and customer specifications. This mid-level position includes assisting in root cause analysis, providing feedback for corrective actions, and maintaining quality documentation. This position reports into the Quality Manager. 

  • Perform detailed inspections and tests on raw materials, components, and finished products using advanced measurement tools and techniques.
  • Lead the identification of non-conformances and assist in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and quality teams to resolve quality issues and implement process improvements.
  • Conduct audits of production processes to ensure compliance with established quality standards and procedures.
  • Maintain accurate and thorough records of inspection results, non-conformance reports, and corrective actions.
  • Assist in training and mentoring Quality Technician I team members in proper quality procedures and tool usage.
  • Use statistical process control (SPC) tools to monitor and improve product quality throughout the production process.
  • Ensure that all quality equipment is properly calibrated and functioning accurately.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by identifying opportunities to improve quality systems and processes.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.

What You Bring

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in heavy-duty metal manufacturing inspection is required.
  • Must have general welding inspection knowledge.
  • CWI certified welding inspector preferred but not required. 
  • Strong understanding of quality control processes and standards. 
  • Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
  • Proficiency in using advanced measurement tools, including CMMs, calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Experience in root cause analysis and corrective action processes.
  • Strong analytical skills, with experience using statistical process control (SPC) tools.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for maintaining accurate records.
