SUMMARY OF POSITION:

The Quality Inspector will perform inspection and sorting activities to ensure quality of product prior to shipping. Ensure our products are meeting customer specifications. 

JOB DUTIES & ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Perform routine daily production inspections which may include recording molding machine data, recording machine cycle times, collecting scrap information, advising the production supervisors of unsatisfactory quality levels, monitoring production operations, and alerting appropriate supervisors of potential quality problems.
  • Perform inspection activities as deemed necessary. Inspection activities may include GP-12 early containment and Safe Launch Inspection.
  • Level 1-containment activities and/or self-identified sorts that are deemed necessary.
  • Complete rework/sort sheets and identify material as appropriate.
  • Follow rework instructions as appropriate utilizing marked samples, operator instructions, and/or digital pictures.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and to make decisions with respect to acceptability of production parts.

Qualifications


QUALIFICATIONS & MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

  • 1 years' experience in quality inspection/sorting
  • Ability to discern between colors and to pass Color Deficiency Test
  • Ability to move materials up to 50 lbs.
  • Communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to read and to document findings from sort activities.
