GENERAL SUMMARY

The quality inspector plays a key role in maintaining the overall production quality at Fresh Products. The Quality Inspector is responsible for conducting audits and quality checks on materials as they enter the facility, as well as products at multiple stations as they work their way through the plant. We currently have both 1st and 2nd shift available. 1st shift is Monday-Thursday 6:30am-5pm with occasional mandated OT on Fridays. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES  

  1. Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly quality audits of all areas of the production department, removing any products or materials that do not meet production standards. 
  2. Inspect incoming materials to validate supplier quality and communicate with suppliers when required.
  3. In charge of first piece approvals in hot stamp area.
  4. Establish quality standards for any new products and recommend any necessary adjustments or changes to improve quality standards.  
  5. Have general knowledge of and able to assist with part counting scale maintenance.
  6. Weigh material to confirm that it is within Fresh Products specifications.
  7. Ensures that all Quality related activities on the production floor are carried out in a safe manner.

 

REQUIRED EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  1. High School Diploma or GED

 

REQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES

  1. Excellent interpersonal skills.
  2. Excellent attention to detail.
  3. Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple activities and priorities.
  4. Strong customer (internal and external) service orientation.
  5. Integrity, honesty, practicality, clarity and a constructive bias are all expected.
  6. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, in both English and other languages when necessary. 
  7. Exhibits excellent time management skills and very detail oriented.
  8. Computer proficiency including competency with Microsoft Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint.

 

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS

  1. Reports to Quality and Training Supervisor.

 

 

WORKING CONDITIONS

  1. Normal plant and office environment.
