Job Description

Position: Quality Inspector

Pay: Starting at $20.00/hour

Shift: 1st Shift – Monday to Thursday, 5:30 AM – 3:45 PM

Location: Pewaukee, WI

Responsibilities

• Conduct visual inspections and perform specialized tests on raw materials, in-process goods, and finished products
• Use inspection techniques such as dye penetrants, binders, catalysts, washes, and pressure soap tests to verify product quality
• Perform final inspections of castings before shipment to ensure they meet standards
• Document inspection results and maintain detailed logs and reports
• Read and interpret technical drawings and specifications for product compliance
• Evaluate castings within the welding rack and conduct evaluations as needed
• Communicate inspection findings clearly to supervisors and teams
• Contribute to continuous process improvements in inspection methods

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and thorough approach to quality assurance
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to assess visually and perform technical inspections accurately
• Basic math skills: addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documents
• Experience with casting inspection and welding evaluations is a plus
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
