JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Inspector II will be responsible for maintaining quality standards by inspecting, approving, and recording the quality of incoming materials. This role will also assist with auditing team on compliance and proper tool usage and periodically train other team members.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
These duties are not meant to be all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned.
- Audits team on consistent basis on proper tool usage, QCP-0045 compliance, 5S, safety and aged processing.
- Develops, updates, and periodically trains team members on majority of department processes and systems.
- Support Quality Lead in work prioritization & coordination amongst team on daily basis.
- Obtain incoming raw materials for inspection prior to finished product testing.
- Approve materials through material specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
- Document inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizing rework and waste, and inputting data into JD Edwards.
- Manage the operating & calibration of measurement equipment per operating instructions; report equipment repairs as needed.
- Coordinate with customer & team on time-sensitive projects such as in-house PPAPs, inspects, and rework.
- Collaborate across departments to support additional warehouse functions as needed (Receiving, Put away, Sorting, Repack, Kanban, Kitting, Shipping, etc.).
- Assist with setting daily department goals & metric generation.
- Other duties as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 or more years of related experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience working with JD Edwards database.
- Experience in processing Pre Production Approval Process (PPAP) parts.
- Forklift certification.

- Physical Demands: Frequent Standing, Hearing, Talking, Visual, Manual Dexterity; Occasional Walking/Running, Reaching, Bending/Kneeling, Typing, Fine Dexterity, Upper Extremity Repetitive Motion, Lifting/Carrying up to 35lbs., and Pushing/Pulling up to 50lbs.; Seldom Sitting, Driving.
- Non-Physical Demands: Frequent Analysis/Reasoning; Occasional Communication/Interpretation, Math/Mental Computation, Reading, Sustained Mental Activity (i.e., auditing, problem solving, grant writing, composing reports, etc.), and Writing.
