Summary: The in process inspector will be responsible in supporting the CNC machinists in completing in process inspection sheets. They will monitor parts as they come off of the machine, and ensure parts are being manufactured according to customer specification.
Duties/Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned:
· Frequently use handheld measuring equipment such as calipers and micrometers to inspect machined parts.
· Accurately and consistently document all performed tasks on appropriate records.
· Inspect documents for previously completed operation sign off and verify part counts before beginning any manufacturing operation.
· Follow established protocol to maintain ID & traceability of product and documentation.
Competencies/Essential Functions: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following:
· 3 Pan System understanding.
· Understanding of the line clearance process.
· Basic blueprint reading.
· General use of shop math.
· Use of inspection equipment and procedures, including micrometers, calipers, optical comparators, go/no go gages and pins.
Education and/or Experience:
· Highschool Diploma
