GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB: To ensure a quality part is produced with ZERO Defects, as directed in the Work Instructions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES, TASKS, AND RESPONSIBILITIES: These are duties that the person holding this job MUST be able to perform. The company makes accommodations on request, if the accommodations are reasonable, to allow otherwise qualified applicants to perform these functions.
· Monitor parts produced at each machine per work order instructions.
· Inspect work orders and report any needed corrections
· Take action if part quality is found to be substandard by:
Notify the shift supervisor so the quality problem can be corrected.
Identify when the quality problem started and segregate all affected products.
· Verify the first part quality immediately after setup completion, before any production is run.
· Perform all special testing required by the customer. (Examples: Coleman hinge vest, Dornoch lid and canister tests, etc.)
· Verify that every product is correctly packaged and labeled, including pallets of finished product.
· Aid in the proper identification of material lot numbers and ensure that COCs and packaging have the appropriate identification.
· Ensure that grinders and regrind materials are correctly identified.
· Ensure that any special test parts are correctly packaged, identified, and moved to a designated location.
· Support the MAs as needed; relieving operators for breaks, stretch wrapping product, etc.
· Communicate the quality status of each product being produced to the following shift’s Quality Assurance Inspector.

· Knowledge of production machines and processes, and materials knowledge.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
· Physical: Sitting and standing, walking, bending, lifting, flexing arms, wrists, hands, fingers, turning torso and head. Must be able to see and hear well enough to fulfill the obligations of this position.
