Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough inspections of products before shipment to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications.
  • Verify product quantities and ensure accurate packaging and labeling.
  • Identify and report any defects or discrepancies found during inspections and collaborate with the shipping team to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
  • Maintain detailed records of inspection results and quality reports, assisting in the development and implementation of quality control processes and procedures.
  • Ensure that all safety and quality protocols are adhered to during the shipping process, complying with NOV Company and HSE policies and procedures.
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance product quality and shipping efficiency.
  • Communicate effectively with the production, warehousing, and customer service teams to ensure seamless operations.
  • Perform inspections on components and source inspections at facilities.
  • Prepare inspection reports and maintain files of inspection documents.
  • Review inspection records received for compliance and maintained inspection and measuring equipment.
  • Prepare and coordinate Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) for nonconforming parts.
  • Perform other work-related tasks as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional certification in quality control or a related field is a plus.
  • Previous experience in a quality inspection role, preferably in a shipping or manufacturing environment.
  • Dimensional inspection experience utilizing precision tools including but not limited to, Calipers, OD Mics, Dial Indicators etc.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret packing slips, product specifications and quality standards.
  • Proficient in using inspection tools and equipment.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Basic computer skills for data entry and report generation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Ability to obtain forklift certification. 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and move products and packages up to 50 pounds.
  • Standing, walking, and moving around the shipping area for extended periods.

Working Conditions:

  • Work is performed in a shipping and warehouse environment.
  • May require occasional overtime to meet shipping deadlines.
