Ensure production quality by performing detailed inspections of parts and assemblies. Utilize both manual and automated measurement systems to verify conformance to specifications, maintain accurate records for audit readiness, and support continuous improvement in a regulated manufacturing environment.
Dimensional & Visual Inspection
Verify part geometry using granite plate setups and precision hand tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges).
Conduct visual checks to confirm surface finish and detect obvious defects.
CMM Operation & Troubleshooting
Execute existing CMM programs to measure complex features accurately.
Troubleshoot measurement issues and validate results with secondary methods when discrepancies arise.
Nonconformance Management
Identify and flag nonconforming parts, performing re-inspection with alternate measurement techniques as needed.
Record inspection findings and collaborate with engineering or production teams to resolve quality issues.
Data Recording & Documentation
Log inspection results in quality management systems or paper records, ensuring traceability for each lot or batch.
Maintain and organize paperwork and calibration certificates to support successful audit outcomes.
Standards Compliance
Apply ISO work instructions and adhere to documented procedures to maintain consistency across inspections.
Participate in periodic internal quality audits and contribute to corrective action plans.
