Quality Inspector

Marion Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team in Cheshire, CT. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who takes pride in catching quality issues, working with production, and making sure precision-manufactured components meet customer requirements.
Marion has been a Connecticut manufacturing company for decades and specializes in precision metal stamping and components used across industries including medical, automotive, aerospace, defense, electronics, and telecommunications.
What You'll Do
- Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision metal components
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
- Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools
- Verify parts meet dimensional and customer requirements
- Identify, document, and communicate non-conforming material
- Work directly with machine operators and production personnel to resolve quality issues
- Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
- Assist with maintaining inspection equipment and gauge records
- Support continuous improvement and help maintain Marion's quality standards
- Perform other quality-related duties as needed
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/blueprints
- Comfortable using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to identify dimensional or visual defects
- Good communication skills and ability to work with production
- Manufacturing, machining, stamping, or precision metal experience is a plus
- Experience with GD&T is a plus

Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours
Location: Cheshire, CT
