Quality Inspector

Marion Manufacturing is looking for an experienced Quality Inspector to join our team in Cheshire, CT. This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who takes pride in catching quality issues, working with production, and making sure precision-manufactured components meet customer requirements.

Marion has been a Connecticut manufacturing company for decades and specializes in precision metal stamping and components used across industries including medical, automotive, aerospace, defense, electronics, and telecommunications.

What You'll Do

• Perform first-piece, in-process, and final inspections of precision metal components
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and work instructions
• Use precision measuring equipment including calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other inspection tools
• Verify parts meet dimensional and customer requirements
• Identify, document, and communicate non-conforming material
• Work directly with machine operators and production personnel to resolve quality issues
• Maintain accurate inspection records and quality documentation
• Assist with maintaining inspection equipment and gauge records
• Support continuous improvement and help maintain Marion's quality standards
• Perform other quality-related duties as needed

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in quality inspection within a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and understand engineering drawings/blueprints
• Comfortable using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other measuring tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to identify dimensional or visual defects
• Good communication skills and ability to work with production
• Manufacturing, machining, stamping, or precision metal experience is a plus
• Experience with GD&T is a plus

Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime hours
