Job Description

The Quality Inspector, plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our pontoon boats ranging from checking manufacturing processes, mechanical operation, and / or electrical / component checks and troubleshooting and resolution. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive inspections, adhering to established standards, and contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional products with a focus on Quality, Service, and Innovation.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: 

• Conduct thorough inspections of manufacturing processes, mechanical operation, and / or electrical and related components of pontoon boats to ensure they meet quality and safety standards.
• Identify and document any defects, damages, or deviations from specifications.
• Work closely with the production and assembly teams to address and rectify any issues identified during inspections.
• Recommend quality control measures to enhance the overall product quality
• Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and recommended actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspection results and communicate them to relevant departments.
• Collaborate with other departments, such as production, engineering, and customer service, to address and resolve issues identified during inspections.
• Provide feedback to improve the manufacturing and assembly processes.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to the inspection process.
• Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve overall efficiency.
• Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed during the inspection process.
• Inspections require frequent climbing of ladders in and out of boats.
• Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
• Stay informed about industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to pontoon boat manufacturing and inspection.
• Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
• Supports a Barletta Safe culture by adhering to and advocating for the safest behaviors and proactively identifies opportunities to mitigate job-related risks and hazards.
