Summary 

Check the quality of all incoming and outgoing material and products as well as review production procedures. You will be a firm advocate of quality in our business. The ideal candidate will possess a trained eye for detail and will be reliable and committed. In depth knowledge and comprehension of quality standards and ability to read and use precision measuring tools is essential.

The right candidate will 

• Be a safety minded worker who is drug free and dependable with an excellent attendance record 
• Mentor other employees as needed 
• Move equipment, and parts using the fork truck, crane, or other material handling equipment
• Assist other employees as directed by management or group leaders
• Complete forms, travelers and related paperwork
• Assist with keeping work area, tools and equipment clean and orderly. 
• Review procedures, processes, equipment assemblies and related tasks 
• Assist with root cause analysis 
• Review and assists with development of all job related SSOP’s/ Work instructions 
• Verify that equipment is complete and meets quality standard prior to shipment 
• Perform measurements of manufactured components to verify manufacturing specifications have been met
• Approve incoming materials by confirming specifications; conducting visual and measurement tests; rejecting and returning unacceptable materials.
• Final and in process inspection of components, and prototype parts using various gauges such as micrometers, calipers, hardness testers, scales, surface finish gauge, laser measuring equipment and other precision equipment as required
• Documents inspection results by completing reports and logs, summarizes re-work and waste, and inputs data into quality database.
• Keeps measurement equipment operating by following operating instructions and calibration requirements, and calling for repairs.
• Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading technical publications.
• Accomplishes quality and organization mission by completing related results as needed.
• Shipping and receiving duties as needed
• Operation of HD scan lab and tracking of samples.
• NCR and CAR creation and follow through. 

• Wear tracking of customer product. Inspection of incoming equipment from customers. 

• All other assigned duties 

Job Requirements:

• High School Diploma
• Valid driver license
• Oral and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Literate in Microsoft programs
• Has OSHA10 or must complete after hire
• Ability to use/read precision tools and blue prints
• Travel as needed
