Global leader in aerospace manufacturing is looking for qualified Quality Inspector to join their team in Athens, Georgia

Full Responsibilities:

• Determines and utilizes appropriate inspection methods and instruments (micrometers, height gauges, air gauges, radius gauges, calipers, etc.) to complete in-process and final inspection of machined aerospace parts and assemblies, including simple to moderate layouts and setups on a surface plate

• Initiates nonconformance records and disposition of parts not meeting requirements

• Continually strives to improve inspection effectiveness and efficiency by recommending and supporting the implementation of process improvements

• Communicates effectively and professionally with internal and external personnel to identify root causes, troubleshoot and address errors and trends, and negotiate resolution of non-conforming parts and necessary re-work or re-inspection

• Completes other duties as required

• Regular attendance on-site at the workplace is required

Requirements:

• A high School Diploma or GED equivalent. Required.

• Associate degree or similar post-secondary or vocational training in a related field. Preferred.

• 6 months of experience in inspection for machined parts and/or assemblies. Required

• 1 year experience in reading blueprints and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing. Preferred.

You should be proficient in:

• GD&T
• Blueprint Reading
