PTM Corporation is seeking a highly motivated and skilled Romer Arm Programmer/Operator to ensure that components and assemblies produced in our Prototype Division meet all design and engineering specifications.
What You’ll Do
- Operate Romer (Faro) Arm with Probing and Scanning Head
- Inspection of close tolerance parts to ensure component compliance with all written standards, drawings, and other requirements.
- Demonstrates strong time management skills with the ability to efficiently manage workload and use of resources.
- Start projects / assignments and manage to completion.
- Work with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
- Ensure component compliance with all written standards, drawings, and other requirements.
- Accurately complete quality and traceability documentation for all activities
- Can effectively work alongside a cross-functional team to accurately collect and disseminate quality information at all levels of the organization.
- Ability to write reports, documents, and procedures. Analyze data and provide full statistical analysis for prototype parts
- Support process capability studies using statistical process control
- Read and understand part drawings, process sheets, and all Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Perform, assess, and debug gauge repeatability and reproducibility
- Perform calibration and verification of all scanning and supporting equipment
What You’ll Bring
- 3-5 years of Romer arm experience, Polyworks preferred, with 2-3 years’ experience in a quality or inspection role.
- Ability to understand complex drawings, blueprints and manufacturing processes
- Good understanding of GD&T
- Good understanding of Polyworks
- Passionate about manufacturing
- Strong work ethic
- Meticulous attention to detail
- Highly motivated
- Well organized and strong verbal communication skills
- Flexible, ability to work in a fast pace constantly changing environment with long hours and tight deadlines
- Proficient with MS Office including Word, Excel, Power Point, ERP systems, PLEX.
- Ability to read, understand design specifications and standards
- Conceptual thinking able to visualize a 3D space
- Proven problem-solving techniques
- Ability to work independently with written and verbal direction
- Good written and verbal communication skills
