Job Overview:

Job Title: Faro-Arm Inspector

 

Job Summary:

The Faro Arm Inspector involves using a portable coordinate measuring machine (CMM), specifically the Faro Arm, to perform precise measurements, quality control, and inspection of manufactured parts. This role often includes verifying the accuracy of parts against design specifications and documentation. 

 

Duties/Responsibilities:

 

  • Scan parts, check fixtures, weld fixtures
  • Using the Faro Arm to measure and verify the accuracy of manufactured parts, ensuring they meet design specifications. 
  • Understanding and interpreting engineering drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), and other documentation to guide inspection procedures. 
  • Produce data reports, record inspection results, generate reports, and communicate findings to relevant teams. 
  • Conducting visual inspections to assess the quality of manufactured parts for any defects or irregularities. 
  • Identifying and documenting non-conformances, troubleshooting issues, and communicating them to the appropriate teams. 
  • Adhering to quality system procedures, policies, and instructions.

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or equivalent required.

Associates degree, Certification, or equivalent combination of work and education.

Minimum 1 year experience 


Physical Requirements: 

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts. 

The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud.

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
