Job Description
You will be the Quality Engineer Staff for Lockheed Martin Missiles and Fire Control in an Expatriate position in Port Wakefield, Australia. This role requires a minimum 2-year commitment and involves developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. Our team is responsible for ensuring the quality of products delivered to customers, and you will play a key role in achieving this goal.
What You Will Be DoingAs the Quality Engineer Staff, you will be responsible for leading quality initiatives, analyzing complex quality issues, and driving continuous improvement. You will work closely with Lockheed Martin Australia to generate and implement a Quality System, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that quality standards are met and products are delivered to customers on time.
Your Responsibilities will include:
- Assist in generating and implementing a Quality System, or updating an existing one, in accordance with contract requirements
- Review documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer
- Analyze and resolve process issues, and attend and lead program corrective action meetings to identify trends and assist in problem resolution
- Perform assessments and audits to ensure compliance with specifications, engineering drawings, procedures, and ISO-9001/AS9100
- Provide Quality Engineering support for non-conforming material evaluations, dispositions, and root cause/corrective actions
- Interface with customers, suppliers, and program personnel on quality-related issues, and utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvement
- Establish Receiving, in-process, and final inspection requirements to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer

Basic Qualifications
• STEM degree at bachelors level or higher, or equivalent experience/combined education.
• Must be willing to relocate to Port Wakefield, Australia for a minimum of 2 years
• Experience with the GMLRS Rocket Program
• Knowledge and experience leading and maintaining a monitoring & measurement (calibration) program
• Effective oral and written communication skills will be required to manage across multiple leadership levels as well as various functional and customer levels.
• Engineering or Quality experience developing methods, work instructions and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products
• Able to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and able to translate into work instruction
• Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques
• Experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement
• Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management
• Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision.
• Demonstrated problem solving skills, including Root Cause Analysis and Corrective Action Planning
• Final Secret security clearance.
Desired skills
• STEM degree at Bachelor's level or higher preferred.
• Lean / Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification.
• ASQ CQE (Certified Quality Engineer) and / or CQIA (Certified Quality Improvement Associate)
• Experience in Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance
• Advanced AS9100 and AS9103 Interpretation and application experience.
• Experience as a Control Account Manager and knowledge of Earned Value Management Systems
• Experience working with Government customers
• Effective interpersonal skills, including Team building and Collaboration
• Strong knowledge of Industry recognized Quality systems such as International (ISO) and aerospace (AS)
• Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/process issues varying from basic to very complex
• SAP application experience processing Q-notes
• Prior MRBE experience
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience

Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedule Information
Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

National Pay Statement
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate’s final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
Benefits offered: Medical, Dental, Vision, Life Insurance, Short-Term Disability, Long-Term Disability, 401(k) match, Flexible Spending Accounts, EAP, Education Assistance, Parental Leave, Paid time off, and Holidays. (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays.
