Description

The Quality Engineer Intern will support the Quality team in ensuring product quality and continuous improvement initiatives within the manufacturing process. This role provides hands-on experience in problem-solving, quality control, and process improvement. The intern will work closely with engineers and production teams to gain exposure to real-world quality challenges and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in problem-solving activities to address production performance deficiencies, including internal and customer-related issues.

  • Participate in continuous improvement projects, such as Value Stream Mapping, waste reduction, and quality enhancement initiatives.

  • Support the establishment and communication of quality standards through visual standards, documentation, and process improvements.

  • Work with customers and suppliers on quality-related concerns, including data collection, reporting, and process analysis.

  • Assist in the creation and maintenance of quality system documentation, including PPAPs, Control Plans, Flow Charts, and Standard Work Sheets.

  • Perform basic measurement and inspection tasks using gages and other quality tools to ensure product compliance with specifications.

  • Attend and actively participate in quality meetings, providing input on findings and improvement opportunities.

  • Comply with company safety procedures and quality system regulations at all times.

Qualifications


Skills & Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of quality principles, statistical analysis, and problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
  • Familiarity with measurement tools and quality inspection processes.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) is a plus.
