We have an exciting opportunity for a Quality Engineer to join out Team in Rancho Bernardo!
The Quality Engineer will provide guidance in interpreting and adapting quality standards and government regulations to ensure compliance throughout the product lifecycle. This role involves close interaction with engineering and manufacturing teams to verify that quality standards are consistently applied. Analyze data to resolve problems by reviewing identifiable factors that may affect product performance or compliance. Perform incoming material and part inspections, generate nonconformance and material rejection reports, and issue corrective actions while communicating final acceptance test results with customers. Additionally, research, organize, and process objective quality evidence (OQE) from suppliers, verify compliance with customer requirements, manage incoming inspection lots, and delegate them appropriately to inspectors, the test department, or the incoming Material Review Board (iMRB).
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Manage incoming inspection lots and delegate lots to inspectors, test department, or iMRB. Perform inspections as required to keep continuous flow of lots from receiving into stock.
- Manage non-conforming material storage areas to include maintaining an up-to-date log, hosting weekly meetings with iMRB, and performing routine audits..
- Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Perform frequent audits of the inspection quality systems for deficiency identification and correction. Implements solutions to complex problems occurring internally and at other local EMS inspection labs.
- Control and manage the GA source inspection request inbox. Assign control numbers and disseminate supplier requests to appropriate SQEs.
- Manage and track Receiving Inspection backlog for local EMS parts. Host frequent meetings for updates from other locations on the status of parts awaiting acceptance into stock.
- Interprets and adapts quality standards and government regulations.
- May perform incoming material/part inspection. May generate nonconformance, material rejections and corrective action reports, as well as communicating final acceptance test reports with customers. May also generate and maintain files of all quality and as-built information for each product.
- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company. Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related discipline and two or more years of related experience. May substitute education discipline with ten or more years of relevant experience in the quality inspection field.
- Must be able to apply a basic understanding of inspection methods and have a basic knowledge of computer operations and applications.
- Must have the analytical ability required to develop solutions to routine and non-routine quality issues and the skills required to present those solutions to internal contacts.
- Must be detail-oriented to accurately prepare statistical reports and technical documents in support of company objectives.
- Must have good leadership skills to coordinate and run an inspection lab.
- Able to work extended hours as required.
