GA’s Electromagnetic Systems (EMS) Group focuses on the military and commercial applications of advanced electromagnetic technologies, including power generation and distribution, magnetic levitation, laser and weapons systems, and systems design and engineering. The EMS Group supports government customers, which include the Department of Defense, Department of Energy, the Department of Transportation as well as a range of commercial customers.
Develops, modifies, coordinates and documents the implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of quality assurance programs and systems on one or more small projects. Provides guidance in interpreting and adapting quality standards and government regulations. Interacts with engineering and manufacturing to ensure quality standards are in place. Works on problems where analysis of data requires a review of identifiable factors. Coordinates receipt of incoming materials, checks materials received against vendor shipping documents and purchase orders for accuracy, verifies and logs pertinent material information. Processes the outbound shipments of goods which includes determining packaging requirements, scheduling, and booking of transportation. Generates shipping documents, and packages goods for shipment. Coordinates with multiple departments to support materials requirements by delivering materials as required for designated production areas and engineering projects. Conducts physical inventories, which includes identifying, reporting, and investigating inventory shortages, overages, or discrepancies within the warehouse. Manages and maintains the incoming and outgoing of inventory from the stock room.
ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:- Analyzes design reliability and quality to recommend process changes and enhancements.
- Creates or recommends design, dimensional or manufacturing process changes to improve products and reduce costs.
- Devises and implements methods and procedures for inspecting, testing and evaluating the precision and accuracy of products and production equipment.
- Audits quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
- Prepares statistical analysis reports, specifications and other technical documents.
- Interprets and adapts quality standards and government regulations.
- Performs incoming material/part inspection.
- Generates nonconformance, material rejections and corrective action reports, as well as communicating final acceptance test reports with customers. May also generate and maintain files of all quality and as-built information for each product.
- Coordinates receipt of incoming materials. Checks materials received against vendor shipping documents and purchase orders for accuracy as well as verifies and logs pertinent material information.

- Responsible for observing all laws, regulations and other applicable obligations wherever and whenever business is conducted on behalf of the Company.
- Expected to work in a safe manner in accordance with established operating procedures and practices.

Job Qualifications
- Typically requires a bachelor's or master's degree in engineering or related discipline and two or more years of related experience. May substitute equivalent experience in lieu of education.
- Experience in production/material control is highly desired.
- Ability to apply a basic understanding of inspection methods and have a basic knowledge of computer operations and applications.
- Analytical ability required to develop solutions to routine and non-routine quality issues and the skills required to present those solutions to internal contacts.
- Must be detail-oriented to accurately prepare statistical reports and technical documents in support of company objectives.
- Working knowledge of AS9100/9102 is highly desired.
- Current or previous certification in IPC-610/620 for inspection and repairs to Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs).
- Experience reviewing, approving, witnessing, and accepting/rejecting electronic test procedures and results for system requirements verification.
- Intermediate working level of knowledge in SAP.
- Currently possess or have the ability to get and maintain a “Secret” or above DOD security clearance.
- Experience in aerospace technologies or similar engineering background.
- Understanding of material control concepts and standards along with the ability to apply those concepts and standards using stockroom procedures and record keeping practices.
- Ability to identify deviations from normal processes and procedures, analyze complex issues, and interpret data.
- Experience utilizing/operating material handling equipment (i.e. pallet jack, forklift, etc…).
- Understanding of shipping regulations, processes, practices. & techniques.
- Ability to work extended hours as required.
