Immerse yourself in a full-time, Monday-Friday co-op session, that will run June-December (including the Fall semester; it is expected students will take a semester off from coursework to fully engage with this working mentorship opportunity).
What You Will Do:
• Evaluate quality control systems and production processes for manufacturing, assembly, and testing of electronics assemblies.
• Investigate product failures or defects to determine root cause and coordinate product changes through the Change Control Board.
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives and investigations.
• Collect and analyze data around production processes, making recommendations for cost reductions and process improvements.
• Work onsite at the facility, contributing as an individual contributor while supporting the Quality Engineering team.
What You Will Learn:
• Gain hands-on experience in developing, modifying, and maintaining quality evaluation and control systems for various materials.
• Collaborate with product design and specification teams to devise testing plans, methods, and equipment to ensure product reliability.
• Understand and manage risk in product development through UPPAP core elements, such as PFMEA, MSA, Process Flow, and Control Plans.
• Participate in developing proactive quality initiative strategies and driving their implementation.
• Learn to perform Escape management procedures, conduct root cause analysis, and recommend corrective actions for design problems.

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, analyze, and interpret production data.
