Quality Engineer - CNC Machining Aerospace

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Oak Brook, IL. Responsibilities

Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
Utilize GD&T principles to review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Conduct root cause analysis using the 5 Why methodology to identify and resolve quality issues.
Analyze quality control data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Oversee the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to ensure product quality and reliability.
Operate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for precise measurements and inspections.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in quality engineering within the aerospace industry.
Strong knowledge of GD&T and its application in manufacturing.
Experience with root cause analysis techniques, particularly the 5 Why method.
Familiarity with the PPAP process and its requirements.
Hands-on experience with AS9100 quality management systems.
Proficient in using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for quality inspections.
Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
