Quality Engineer - CNC Machining Aerospace

Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Oak Brook, IL. As a key player in our CNC Machining Aerospace division, you will ensure that our products meet the highest quality standards. Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control processes to ensure compliance with AS9100 standards.
• Utilize GD&T principles to review and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Conduct root cause analysis using the 5 Why methodology to identify and resolve quality issues.
• Analyze quality control data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
• Oversee the Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) to ensure product quality and reliability.
• Operate and maintain Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for precise measurements and inspections.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
• Prepare and present quality reports to management and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
• Proven experience in quality engineering within the aerospace industry.
• Strong knowledge of GD&T and its application in manufacturing.
• Experience with root cause analysis techniques, particularly the 5 Why method.
• Familiarity with the PPAP process and its requirements.
• Hands-on experience with AS9100 quality management systems.
• Proficient in using Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) for quality inspections.
• Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
