You'll work with a team of approximately 240 in the Albany faclity and a smaller team of 7 in your group.

What you will do

You will be responsible for the development and maintenance of production quality standards and documentation. You'll be defining quality requirements for new products and preparing/maintaining vital documentation, monitor production quality performance to identify opportunities for improvement, review and maintenance of quality files, procedures, work instructions, etc. for relevance and adherence to the Quality System, customer and regulatory compliance.

How you will do it

  • Work on ISO or internal auditing

  • Serve as the backup Management Representative for the Quality System.

  • Ensure that processes needed for the Quality System are established, implemented and maintained.

  • Maintain and report on the performance of the Quality System and any need for improvement.

  • Ensure the promotion of awareness of customer requirements throughout the organization.

  • Administration of Corrective Action Request system and Customer Complaints.

  • Control of quality related documents and records as defined in the Quality Manual and the quality procedures.

  • Keeps Management fully informed of significant occurrences and trends that impact the quality of product or manufacturing operations.

  • Anticipates current and future issues and develops plans and actions to minimize the negative impact. i.e. Failure Modes Effects Analysis (FMEA)

  • Manage quality scrap/rework transactions.

  • Continuously improve customer satisfaction.

  • Supplier Quality Champion

  • Management of JCMS system and requirements.

  • Maintain SPC on critical processes

  • Collaborate with ECN system and work with engineering on prototype testing

What we look for

Required

  • Associates degree or 6+ years in a similar quality assurance program, department, or operation is required.

  • Experience working in the quality area for an organization certified to ISO 9001 or similar standard.

  • Knowledge of Quality Assurance system development and implementation such as ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001, ISO 14001, etc.

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Proficiency in MS Office, including Word and Excel.

  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, at all levels of an organization.

  • Strong organizational skills and motivational skills.

  • Demonstrated ability to solve practical problems and make logical decisions.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering

  • Lean or Six Sigma expereince or certification
