What you will do

As the Quality Engineer in our manufacturing facility, you'll report to the Quality Manager, and play a pivotal role in developing and upholding production quality standards and documentation. Key responsibilities include defining quality requirements for new products, partnering with suppliers regarding performance and new components, monitoring production quality performance for continuous improvement opportunities, and ensuring compliance with our quality management system, customer specifications, and regulatory standards. This role requires proactive leadership in achieving quality objectives, collaborating cross-functionally to address product and process issues, and implementing corrective and preventative actions. Success in this role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to communicate data-driven trends and performance to a wide variety of audiences.

  • Solve practical problems and make logical decisions
  • Employ strong analytical skills and utilize data to identify trends and drive process and product improvements.
  • Utilize developed communication skills with demonstrated ability to construct and present information to a wide range of audiences internally and externally.
  • Develop and implement action plans based on KPI monitoring and NCR analysis.
  • Collaborate with production, engineering, and customer service teams to identify areas for improvement in processes, procedures, and products."
  • Analyze engineering drawings, procedures, diagrams, or formulas to determine quality standards.
  • Complete process/product risk assessments and develop quality plans and process controls to meet specified standards.
  • Champions and supports problem solving methodologies for implementation of permanent corrective action
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the Quality System, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Support New Product Introduction (NPI) projects with quality expertise.
  • Partner with vendors and material department as plant supplier quality representative.
  • Interface with engineering change system and collaborate on product improvements to maximize manufacturability and customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as backup management representative for the Quality System.

What we look for

Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering preferred. Associates degree or 5+ years in a similar quality assurance program, department, or operation is required.
  • Experience working in the quality area for an organization certified to ISO 9001 or similar standard.
  • Knowledge of Quality Management System development and implementation such as ANSI/ISO/ASQ 9001, SQF, ISO 14001, QS 9100, etc.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs, including analytical tools for data review and management.
  • Excellent communication skills, both orally and written, at all levels of an organization.

HIRING SALARY RANGE: $82,000-102,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, location and alignment with market data.)
