Job Summary:
The Quality Engineer is responsible for performing activates that focus on planning, implementation and ongoing oversight of the company’s quality management programs.
Essential Functions:
- Analyze quality performance utilizing using statistical and analytical tools and methods.
- Implement methods to inspect, test and evaluate reliability, precision, reliability and accuracy of processes, products and production equipment.
- Develop and establish quality procedures and systems for inspection plans, quality trends, statistical plan and technical quality proposal plans.
- Ensure process control documents adhere with set requirements.
- Ensure on time processing of non-conforming components.
- Assist disposition process by involving in failure analysis and suggest corrective actions as Material Review Board member.
- Coordinate with suppliers and customers relating to quality trends, performance and corrective action.
- Verify conformance and productivity of quality engineering system through supplier audits and surveys.
- Initiate programs to eliminate internal Non-Conformances.
- Interact with product development committees to inspect and review engineering releases.
- Review product quality aspects like planning, manufacturing methods and process specifications.
- Interact with manufacturing and engineering teams to optimize documentation related to quality and inspection checks.
- Ensure all internal gauges and tooling is certified and maintained
- Ensure calibration records are up to date
- Interact with Quality Control team to conduct Technician Training Program after evaluating Quality Inspections Techniques.
- Assist manufacturing scrap performance evaluation and management.
- Supervisory responsibilities for Quality Inspector Supervisor
- Support Quality Assurance objectives in Juarez, MX
Required Skills & Knowledge:
- Proven knowledge of ISO 9001 and manufacturing processes. IATF16949 experience a plus.
- Ability to apply basic math, including adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
- Ability to communicate verbally in one-on-one situations with management and co-workers; listen to others without interrupting and get clarification when needed.
- Intermediate Level knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Ability to identify proper materials and supplies according to specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and focus on quality and accuracy.
- Exhibits dependability, including following instructions; responding to supervisor’s direction; and taking responsibility for own actions.
- Ability to take initiative, including asking for and offering help when needed; performs work independently without being prompted.
- Ability to prioritize and plan work activities; use time efficiently; and work within deadlines.
- Ability to compose documents in a thorough and concise manner
Preferred Skills & Knowledge:
- Prior experience using SAP ERP system.
- Six Sigma training (Yellow / Green / Black belt certification).
Required Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics or other technical discipline
- Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in Quality Assurance, Engineering or Operations Management in a manufacturing environment
Preferred Education & Experience:
- Four or more years of experience working with Quality ISO 9001 program
- ASQ Certified Quality Engineer
- Six Sigma training ( Yellow / Green / Black belt certification)

- Currently possess, or have the ability to obtain, a US Passport
Physical Demands/ Equipment used to perform the job:
- Able to travel outside normal working hours/days
